last week during our walking tour, we were in the victoria & albert museum which seems to really like hands-on activities. anne, one of our professors, found a side room with victorian-era clothing and grabbed the closest two students to model it for her.
the results were me in a crinolin which goes under the skirt of dresses and mike in a coat.

there was also a corset but i shushed the girl who was trying to point it out to anne.
